Thank you Wickes, Reading FC, Reading Women FC, social enterprise VIY (Volunteer it Yourself) and Barclaycard

Thanks very much to home improvement retailer Wickes, Reading FC and social enterprise VIY (Volunteer it Yourself). Between 9th and 11th August they assisted and helped organise the renovation of our Pavilion with the help of local young people, Reading FC Academy players, members of the Reading FC Women team: Kirsty McGee, Grace Moloney, Rachel Rowe, Rachel Furness, Brooke Chaplen and Becky Jane and Reading FC men's team club captain Paul McShane!

The Wickes mentors and VIY did a fantastic job of instructing some of our young volunteers in the work that had to be done, we also had a donation of £270 from Barclaycard towards our renovations and equipment, so now the Pavilion has had a fantastic face lift.

Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to this and all of the other fantastic support we have had over the last few months.

Big thanks to Joe McGinn (VIY) and Mike Bradshaw (Laurel Park Chairman & Club Community Officer) for arranging the whole event.
