Pre-Season Friendly

After 6 months without competitive football it was great to finally get back out playing.

And on a beautiful late summer morning the stage was set for the return.

The Sandhurst Town team we well organised and drill through their warm-ups and their keeper was looking really sharp. The instruction to the Hurricanes was to get the ball moving and to open up the spaces, and from the first whistle we played fast flowing football.

Shlokh was first on the score sheet after about 15 minutes. Timmy scored a cracking header and then Devansh slotted home after a break on the counter. Shlokh then got his second with an early contender for goal of the season with a volley rocketed into the top corner. That took us into half time 4-0.

The second half started a bit slower and the Sandhurst team were looking much sharper and really stemmed the goals, but after an extended period of pressure James netted twice both pouncing on a couple of excellently delivered corners.

Finally with just a couple of minutes left and excellent through-ball to Matthew left him one-on-one with the keeper and a cheeky deft chip sent home our 7th of the match with 5 different names on the score sheet.

Unfortunately the Sandhurst keeper fell awkwardly trying to save the last goal, and the final two minutes of the game were abandoned to enable him to be treated. We wish him a speedy recovery.

If we can keep that playing style and form up we should be in for a good season.
